Sports injury treatment in Barnoldswick

Most sports injuries are not dramatic. They are the same complaint returning for a third time, or something that felt fine until suddenly it did not. Soft tissue treatment can do a great deal for both, and it is what I have been qualified in for fifteen years.

What is involved

An assessment of how the area moves and where it is restricted, then hands-on work through the muscle and fascia around it. That may mean deep tissue work, trigger point release, cupping, or taping to support the area between sessions.

Where a problem keeps returning, we will look at what is causing it — usually something in how you train, work or sit. It sits alongside the other treatments, and is charged at the same session rates.

What it helps with

  • Muscle strains, and tightness that keeps coming back
  • Overuse injuries from running, lifting or repetitive work
  • Restricted range of movement following an older injury
  • Preventing a manageable problem from becoming a lasting one

When to see someone else

Soft tissue treatment is not the right first step for a suspected fracture, a complete tear, significant swelling, or numbness. If that sounds like your injury, see your GP or a physiotherapist first.

Message me if you are unsure and I will tell you honestly whether it is worth booking in.

Describe what is going on

Send me a message about the injury and I will tell you whether soft tissue treatment is likely to help.
